Arrival of Spring

The March Equinox is coming up, and with that comes the official "start" of spring.  Not that you'd know it here, where the climate is downright Mediterranean in mild warmness.  I guess it just is a bit warmer now, but there's no ushering in of anything with the arrival of flowers like the crocus, the daffodil, or the tulip.  So I made flowers on my icon to compensate.

Meanwhile, still making wings...

Hi Theriona, check out my Macaw pic, I used your technique of underpainting, instead of using watercolor I used oil pastels then went over the feathers with red ballpoint pen to bring out the detail, used a Qtip to spread out the red oil pastel to smooth it out, then used the red pen over that :) Thanks for your help and showing me another way to draw! :)
